Day 30: And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.
Dear Lark,
Thank you. You’re like a piece of my heart come to life and I love you dearly for it. I love writing your strength as well as your weaknesses. You remind me of some very precious people in my life with the way you carry on and keep going no matter what obstacles you face. At the same time you remind me of myself with you’re sharp and sometimes toxic comments balanced by your protective tendencies. Your love of family is what I most enjoy writing about because…well, family both your given and your chosen ones are important (if not the most important things in life). In all honesty, you’re like how I wish to be: strong, in charge, unafraid, and completely driven. So thank you for never leaving my mind and making me write you. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Much love,
your still young and learning author.
Dear Avis,
Oh my, what can I say to you besides thank you? Your journey is what I most enjoyed writing (and technically still at writing). It’s filled with so much to deal with but you handle it beautifully and come out stronger in the end. Why can’t I be like that? Ha, well I guess I kinda am since we’re both entering new world (though I must admit, yours is much more dangerous than me going off to college). You remind me of many people with your artistic abilities as well as your can’t-get-me-down attitude. Even though you’re a klepto, I have faith in you and we both know that life has it’s reasons for doing things…it just takes time. Thanks for balancing out Lark’s demanding shouts in my head with you’re panicky freak outs to keep the peace, it really helps.
Much love,
your still learning and quite frightened author.
((And that’s it…gods I feel like I want to cry but at the same time really excited! Maybe I’ll do another one of these for Nero and Malcolm, my main guys for this story :3 Think I should?))
